Mission:
In our service to at-risk youth, our goal at the Zotz Education Center is to enhance academic achievement, encourage responsible citizenship, and provide students with the necessary
resources and strategies that will assist them with achieving their educational and personal goals through non-traditional settings.
Vision:
Joyce Zotz Education Center is an academic center that strives to develop citizens with the skills, knowledge, and core values to lead and influence their communities. In 2020-2021
our campus theme will be "Enter to Learn, Leave to Achieve."
News & Announcements
As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.
Galena Park ISD regularly provides mass notifications to parents, guardians, students, and faculty regarding weather closures, threat situations, event scheduling, or to provide other important education-related information. These messages not only drive positive educational outcomes, they can also save lives.

At the October 7th Board of Trustees Meeting, Galena Park ISD (GPISD) recognized Woodland Acres Elementary School, Galena Park Middle School, North Shore Middle School, and CTE Early College High School for earning an ‘A’ rating for the 2023-2024 school year from the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
